WHO: Vermont Governor James Douglas will attend the $35,000 Valley Classic Grand Prix Presented by the Equinox at the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show.

WHEN: Sunday, July 27, 2003 Governor due to arrive at 1:30pm
$35,000 Valley Classic Grand Prix Presented by The Equinox to start at 2:00pm

WHERE: Harold Beebe Farm, Route #7 North, East Dorset, VT

MEDIA SIGN-IN: 1:00 pm in Grand Prix Pavilion

PHOTO: Governor Douglas will present ribbons to the horse show’s youngest competitors, 6 years OPPORTUNITY: old and younger, those riding in the Lead Line Division. He will also present the Leading Lady Rider Award, and walk the Grand Prix course along with the riders.

WHAT: The Vermont Summer Festival is New England’s largest “AA” rated hunter/jumper horse show circuit. This year’s event includes five USET-recognized $35,000 Grand Prix and five Show Jumping Hall Of Fame High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper classes, part of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series which determines which junior and amateur/owner riders will qualify to ride at the 2003 National Horse Show.
