East Dorset,

Weve seen a gradual increase in the demand for
a full functioning website since we first launched www.vt-summerfestival.com
nearly four years ago, stated Dotty Ammerman, Executive
Director of the Vermont Summer Festival. Now the requirement
is that the website must be useful, friendly, attractive,
and up-to-date.
Darlene McCormick, owner of Vermont-based Mad River Consulting,
was commissioned to undertake the overhaul. The visual
appeal of show-jumping translates well to the internet,
said McCormick. We coupled the excitement and emotion
of past shows with the beauty and charm of Vermont to create
enthusiasm among new and repeat exhibitors. We also focused
on the customer service aspect, improving navigation and making
information easily obtainable, quickly and intuitively.
The bulk of Mad River Consultings other clients are
Vermont businesses, with many being tourism-related.
The Vermont Summer Festival is New Englands largest
AA rated hunter/jumper horse show circuit. This
years event includes five USE T-recognized $35,000 Grand
Prix and five $10,000 Mini Prix to be held on the last day
of each show. Each of the five weeks will also feature a $10,000
