Hand Motors to Sponsor
$35,000 Vermont Summer Festival Grand Prix
East Dorset, VT—August 2, 2004
- The $35,000 Manchester & the Mountains Horse Show Grand
Prix on August 8, 2004 will be sponsored by Hand Motors. This
is the fourth of five Grand Prix events of the Vermont Summer
Festival Horse Show series. This year's sponsorship by Hand
Motors continues a history of support by the Manchester Center
based Chevrolet and Volkswagen dealership.
"John and Kimet Hand of Hand Motors have been our strongest
community proponents of this event in the past, and we're
thrilled to have their energy, commitment and support again
this year," stated Dotty Ammerman, Executive Director
of the Vermont Summer Festival. "The welcome they extend
to our event and the competitors makes it a joy to be in the
Manchester area."
John Hand, president of Hand Motors added, "We appreciate
all the effort and months of preparation that are required
in bringing a world class equestrian competition to our community,
and our sponsorship is a statement of support to the Vermont
Summer Festival. They have truly created a beautiful venue
at the Beebe Farm and have attracted visitors from all over
the country to enjoy our area for the five week run."
Hand Motors (www.handmotors.com)
celebrates over 30 years in Manchester, Vermont, serving the
automotive needs of the community and is proud to be a sponsor
of the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Shows.
The Vermont Summer Festival is New England's largest "AA"
rated hunter/jumper horse show circuit and runs from July
14 to August 15. The Manchester & The Mountains Horse
Show is the fourth event in the prestigious series. This year's
circuit includes five weekly $35,000 Grand Prix and five $10,000
Mini Prix. Each of the five weeks will also feature $10,000
Show Jumping Hall Of Fame High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper
classes, part of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic
Series.
For many equestrians, the pinnacles of the show series are
the three top-level classes that take place every Sunday at
the show. The $35,000 Grand Prix sponsored by the Equinox
Resort and Spa, the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Amateur
Owner Jumper Classic, and the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of
Fame Junior Jumper Classic showcase the best American and
international riders competing over challenging jumping courses.
While not watching the exciting jumping action, spectators
will enjoy visiting the Festival's trade fair that contains
interesting boutiques and gift shops. Families will enjoy
the ambiance of the show grounds, as there are over 1,000
horses and ponies to observe.
Admission to the Vermont Summer Festival is
$5 for adults, $3 for seniors, and $2 for children. For further
