Held from July 1 through August 10 in East Dorset Vermont, riders flock to the Vermont Summer Festival for six weeks of world class hunter, jumper, and equitation competition at Harold Beebe Farm. Thanks to the support of all of the Vermont Summer Festival’s generous sponsors, the show offers more than $750,000 in prize money throughout the six-week circuit, making it the richest sporting event based on purse in the state of Vermont.
The $15,000 Vermont Celebration Children’s/Adult Hunter Jumper Classic will be newly sponsored by Ariat®, while the $15,000 3’3 NEHJA Hunter Derby will now be presented by the Land Rover Experience Driving School.

The $15,000 Vermont Celebration Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic serves as the championship class for the series, making it a goal for every eligible jumper rider at the show. Entry to the class is earned by a horse-rider combination having a clear round in any of the 22 prior Children’s/Adult Jumper Classics scheduled in the weeks leading up to the final day of competition. The horse-rider combination with the highest number of clear rounds also get the advantage of going last in the order of go, with the combination with the lowest number of clear rounds leading off the class.
The Land Rover Driving Experience School, located at the Equinox Resort in Manchester Village, Vermont, offers customized adventure activities and off-road instruction for those wishing to have a true outdoors experience during their visit. The Land Rover has long been a favorite of horse enthusiasts around the world, and the company is excited to support the hunter derby finale at the Vermont Summer Festival.

The country’s best hunter riders and horses go head-to-head for the chance to win the largest cash prize offered in hunter competition at the Vermont Summer Festival, with $15,000 up for grabs in the hunter derby finale. The $15,000 3’3” NEHJA Hunter Derby is the culmination of the weekly $5,000 3’3” NEHJA Hunter Derby series at the Vermont Summer Festival, which has proven to be immensely popular throughout its three-year run at the show.

The first five Saturdays of the Vermont Summer Festival will feature a $30,000 Grand Prix.
